Q: What is Rebuilding America's Dog? A: Rebuilding America's Dog (short for Rebuilding the reputation of America's Dog) is a campaign to restore the good name, the value, the symbolism of one of America's house hold staples... the family dog, particularly the most common breed of dog up until the end of World War II... Pit Bulls. Until the early/ mid 1940's, Pit Bulls were known as America's Dog. Used as the symbol of bravery and valor in the armed forces, American made and grown products (such as Buster Brown Shoes, RCA audio, citrus growers, etc) as well as the unforgettable Petey of "The Little Rascals." Q: Is Rebuilding America's Dog just a video? A: Rebuilding America's Dog is an entire campaign, launch by a series videos, followed by public meet and greets, introducing school children to a breed of dog from long ago until today, general dog safety, responsible dog ownership, feeding the media with positive stories about pit bulls, and bringing general awareness about the Pit Bull Breeds, their history, how they are made into dangerous dogs and why, and how to get involved in eradicating the abuse this breed has endured for over thirty years.
